    DIY Framed Monogram

Today I’m sharing a do-it-yourself that is so simple and inexpensive to make! This framed monogram cost under $8!  The frame, letter and matte (scrapbook paper) were all purchased at Hobby Lobby at 50% off!

I used a square 5×5 frame, a resin paperweight, scrapbook paper, tape and hot glue!   That’s it!

I made the one above for a friend’s birthday.  The one below was made by my daughter’s friend, for their friend’s birthday – pretty cool!

    How to make your own:

First, remove the glass from the frame. Secure your background matte with tape or hot glue, depending on what kind of matte you choose to use.  I used scrapbook paper, but fabric and burlap would be great too.  Next, hot glue your letter to the Matte.   Use a good amount of glue if you are using the same letters I used, they are heavy!

That’s it, you’re done!  How sweet and simple is that!
There are so many options to create your own piece that fits your style and taste.  You could use fun fabric for matting, letter ornaments, wood and silver letters, your options are endless!

This makes a great baby, wedding or house warming gift!  Have fun creating!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
    Cheers!

Always looking for easy ideas for ladies at Adult Care run by V.N.A. This is perfect. Could also use wallpaper as a background. So many beautiful patterns.

I love it! I don't have this kind of eye, to just see things and say, oh, these would look good together! Though it would make Hobby Lobby infinitely more dangerous if I saw the potential in everything, so maybe I'm doing OK. 😉

Glad you linked up at Happy Hour!

You put together the cutest things. It's small, but has a lot of drama.
