    The next few days I’ll be posting a few highlights from my spring break in
    Duck, North Carolina.
    Please note – this is NOT a sponsored post/trip. We love OBX.

    Duck is a small charming village in the northern Outer Banks…
    slow paced, peaceful and oh so very inviting.  It’s just beautiful.

    My trip all started last minute with a Facebook post by Twiddy & Company with theirHOT Spring Specialsfor vacation home rentals in Duck and Corolla, North Carolina. I actually already have a home booked with Twiddy for early June in Corolla, just up the road from Duck.  When I saw the list of homes still available for their Spring Break Deals, it was just too good to pass up!

    Twiddy & Company is family owned and operated.  I’ve been a fan of Twiddy on Facebook for the last two years.  They post videos and photos of the beach, weather updates, photos from visitors, things happening around OBX, they even do Twiddy gear/swag giveaways. They are such a fun bunch!  They also have a BLOG, blog.twiddy.com .  This trip was my first stay with them and all I can say is they are TOP NOTCH!  I really can’t say enough about how warm and welcoming they are from the time you check in to the time you check out. If you have any questions or problems, just pick up the phone and they are happy to help, providing you with information and tips to make your stay the best ever!  And their homes are amazing!  They have over 900 vacation homes to choose from with all the comforts of home.  The home we rented is in the heart of the village, in the Sea Pines subdivision…such a great location!  We were able to walk or bike to all the local shops and restaurants.  And the house…it is awesome! The home is an immaculate 8 bedroom,  6 full baths,  2 half baths, semi-oceanfront beauty. The kitchen is fully loaded, with two dishwashers, two coffee pots and even a crock-pot! The home provided free fast Wi-Fi access, washer and dryer, TV’s in every bedroom,  pool table, wet bar, games in cabinets, books on shelves, private pool (not available for the season yet), hot tub, a fabulous media room with free movie rentals. The home also features a large fenced in backyard with a volleyball net and perfect space for playing cornhole and other outdoor games.  I loved that the home has decks on the front and back, you can always find a sunny spot to catch some rays!  One of my favorite features of this home, it has an elevator which came in handy lugging luggage 3 stories!   Another great amenity with this rental…linens and bath towels come standard for stays a week or longer ~ loved that!  When it comes to Twiddy’s traditional style homes, linens and towels are not a standard amenity, but a package can be purchased if you don’t want to bring your own.  Oh, they also have beach home rentals only accessible by 4×4 vehicles ~ PRETTY COOL ~ and a large number of pet friendly homes!

    You can learn more about Twiddy’s Vacation Rental homes here.

    Here are a few $ saving tips ~ If you’re looking for the best deals, spring break prices are AWESOME! During summer, renting your home before mid June can save a lot of money. This is my second trip to the Outer Banks (OBX), both trips I shared a house with friends. It’s the absolute best vacation ~ a deal that can’t be beat ~ you won’t want to leave!  *Twiddy has a great page to show you how affordable and what a good value it is to rent a vacation home ~ Clickherefor more information.  Click here for Twiddy’s DEAL OF THE DAY.

    Here is the beautiful Spring Break vacation home…can’t wait to return!

    {The beach access felt like our own personal walkway to the front door of our rental home}
    LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
    I loved that right outside the front door
    was the beach access walkway to this….

    Good Morning Sunshine ☀
    {A big thank you to my friend for taking this beautiful photo of the sunrise}

    My favorite part of the vacation…
    early mornings with a cup coffee on the deck.

    Our last night, the moon put on a show, dancing across the ocean.

    My next post, I’ll share tips and highlights from my trip to Duck…

    Thanks for stopping by!
    Cheers!
