Sorry I’ve been slacking lately, I’ve had a really busy summer and
haven’t had much time to blog. I’m getting ready for a three week
trip to Alaska to visit my sister’s family with my youngest one.
My family spent last year’s 4th of July in Alaska,
where we witnessed the coolest race we have ever seen…
Mt. Marathon in Seward, Alaska
A 3.1 mile race up and down a mountain!
Mount Marathon is 3022 feet (921 m) above sea level.
I wish I had time to share besides just showing a few
pictures and videos from last year’s trip. Stay tuned…
I hope to have lots more to share from this summer’s visit!
{Start of the race – do you see Gumby @ 00:25?}
{last leg of the race, coming off the mountain}
{near the end of the race, coming down the mountain}
{Yes, that’s Gumby, running down the mountain!}
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Cheers!

Oh my gosh, those photos are so fun, love the close ups of the wildlife! I've never been to Alaska, would love to some day. Enjoy every minute of your vacation and spending time with the fam! Cheers!

Thank you, Elena! I'm really looking forward to seeing my family. I'm also looking forward to cooler weather – It has been a brutally hot summer…I can't get to Alaska fast enough!
Hope you are having a great summer! I'll be stopping La Petite Vie to say hello! Cheers to you and yours!

So jealous that you're going to Alaska…again! That race looks like a killer and the pics of the moose and bear make me homesick for Montana! Enjoy your trip!

Thanks, Danni! I wish you could come with me, not just to see Alaska, but for some relief from the heat!
