Kickin' It Old School For My Birthday ~ 70s Candy!

I have been 38 for two years - TWO STINKIN' YEARS!  For some strange reason,
I skipped 37 and turned 38 twice.  I'm so over 38 and more than ready to move on to 39.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY #39!

I have the best family and friends. They always show me love on my birthday.
One sweet friend gave me the cutest bluebird gift box filled with a beautiful bracelet, an adorable bluebird wine stopper, yummy smelling lotion, a fun bag of 70s candy and cute birthday glasses!  My friend (who will go unnamed) told me I better take a picture with the glasses on!  To know me, is to know that I hate having my picture taken...
but I said I would, so I took out my cell phone and snapped shots of me ripping
into the 70s candy bag!  I almost chipped my tooth!
Oh how I miss the candy I ate as a kid.

Here are the pictures I promised:

Here are a few of my birthday treats from family & friends...

 Remember any of these?

Whatever you do, NEVER...
and I mean NEVER, eat Pop Rocks
and drink soda at the same time!
Remember what happened to poor
Mikey, the Life Cereal kid?
(70s Urban Legend)
BTW, I love Pop Rocks!

(don't worry, Mikey's okay)
I'm off to eat that Sugar Daddy!

Thanks for stopping!
Cheers!

Hi Audrey! Always fun to see your sweet face! Thank you :) Skinny girl margarita is really good, I love it....BUT, if you like sweet margaritas, you might not like it...it is not sweet at all. If you try it, and it's not sweet enough, you could use a sugar/salt rim.

Hope you and your family are well. I'm overdue for a visit to your blog - can't wait to see what you're up to! Have a great weekend!

I loved the candy cigarettes. Only got em when I was at my cousin's house...guess my Mom had an issue with under age smoking.

Hi Heather - I loved the candy cigarettes too! I remember ones that had a white "smoke" when you "puffed" on them! I can see why your mom had an issue with them :O) We thought we were so cool when we had a pack...wow how times have changed!
