from my great Alaskan adventure.
Today I’m sharing our trip to Valdez.
…………………………………………………………
When you hear Valdez, I’m sure the first thing that comes to mind
is the Exxon Valdez oil spill on March 24, 1989. Exxon Valdez was
the name of the oil supertanker that ran aground on Bligh Reef,
spilling 10.8 million gallons of oil in Prince William Sound.
You can learn more about this environmental disaster here.

There is so much I could say about Valdez,
but decided to let the pictures speak for themselves.
Don’t worry, I provided links below with great information.
to Valdez, along Glenn Highway/National Scenic Byway and Richardson
Highway. The drive is a breathtaking 300 mile adventure through the
Chugach Mountains and the Chugach National Forest.
Our drive from Anchorage to Valdez (mid-July) was roughly 5 1/2 hours.
This is what we were stuck behind for a while….YIKES!!!

I live in Valdez Alaska 🙂 not always so beautiful but I love the pictures you got of the waterfall. Horsetail and Bridal Veil falls are my favorite.
