    Tried & True Tuesday ~ Chocolate Chip Honey Cookies ~ Plus Two Bonus Recipes {Egg-Free}

Today I am sharing THREE great egg-free cookie recipes.  The first one is a Chocolate Chip Honey Cookie recipe I’ve had in my recipe box for almost 20 years, but never tried it until this past weekend – it’s one of Mrs. Fields’ yummy cookie recipes!

I ended up playing with the ingredients and made three different batches of cookies, all egg free, all delicious.

I wish I had made thees Chocolate Chip Honey Cookies years ago…I am kicking myself!  I can’t believe I’ve had this recipe right under my nose all these years. My girls and husband loved them.  I love how easy they are to make and that my little one can eat them too – they are egg free!

    Chocolate Chip Honey Cookies:

    Printable Recipe
    Makes approximately 3 1/2 dozen
    (Adapted Mrs. Field’s Recipe)

1 Cup Butter, softened at room temperature
    1 Cup Honey
    1/2 Cup White Sugar
    2 1/2 Cups Flour
    1 teaspoon Baking Soda
    1/4 teaspoon Salt
    12 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.  In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.  Next add honey.  Cream well, until smooth.  Next, add flour, baking soda and salt. Mix everything together until just blended – do not over mix.  Add chocolate chips.  Fold chocolate chips into dough, until just blended.  Do Not Over Mix.   Place rounded tablespoons of cookie dough on a non-stick cookie sheet, (I use a Pampered Chef Medium Size Scoop).  Place cookie sheet on middle rack of oven, bake for approximately 18 mins, until golden brown.  Remove from oven, cool on counter or cooling rack –  Enjoy!

Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Honey Cookies:

    Printable Recipe

    Makes approximately 3 1/2 dozen

    (adapted Mrs. Field’s recipe)

1 Cup Butter, softened at room temperature
    1/2  Cup Honey
    1/2 Cup Creamy Peanut Butter
    1/2 Cup White Sugar
    2 1/2 Cups Flour
    1 teaspoon Baking Soda
    1/4 teaspoon Salt
    6 oz Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
6 oz Reese’s Peanut Butter Chips

Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.  In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar.  Next add honey and peanut butter.  Using an electric mixer, mix on medium speed until smooth and creamy.  Next, add flour, baking soda and salt. Using a spoon, mix everything together until just blended – do not over mix.  Add Reese’s peanut butter chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips.  Fold chips into dough, until just blended.
