For this week’s Tried & True Tuesday and to celebrate my 2 Million pageviews, I decided to make some cake!  My Crazy Cake posts have been viewed over 1 million times – people LOVE cake!  Since it’s summer, a S’more’s Crazy Cake in a Mug sounded perfect!

This single serving cake is so simple to make, ready in minutes!   It’s ooey gooey and delicious!   Oh, and it’s egg free, so my youngest one can have this cake too!  That makes my heart happy.

Click here the Original Chocolate Crazy Cake in a Mug recipe.

S’Mores Crazy Cake in a Mug:

    Print Recipe

    Ingredients
    • 5 Tablespoons flour (all-purpose)
    • 4 1/2 Tablespoon sugar
    • 2 teaspoons cocoa (unsweetened)
    • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
    • Dash of salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon white vinegar
    • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
    • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil (or canola)
    • 4 1/2 Tablespoons water

    1 large marshmallow
    3 Hershey chocolate squares
1 graham cracker square broken into small pieces

    Directions

Using a large microwave safe mug, spray the inside with non-stick cooking spray. Next, mix the first 5 dry ingredients in the mug.  After mixing well, make 3 depressions in dry ingredients.  Pour vinegar in one depression, vanilla in the other and the vegetable oil in third depression.  Pour water over top. Mix well until smooth using a fork.  Next, place marshmallow in the middle of the cake mix and press down. Place in microwave and cook on high for *2 minutes, uncovered. Check with toothpick to make sure it comes out clean (not near the marshmallow).  Be sure not to overcook!  When done, remove from microwave, top with the Hershey chocolate squares and sprinkle with graham cracker pieces.  Allow to cool for a few minutes…enjoy!

    TIPS:
*Each microwave cooks differently, adjust time accordingly!  One person made the cake in 1 minute 40 seconds, and another in 1 minute 20 seconds. If you overcook the cake, it may ruin it.  Be sure to watch as it bakes.

If you want a neater mug cake, mix the cake batter in a small bowl, then pour the batter in the mug.

The photos above are from my original Crazy Cake in a Mug post.  Place the marshmallow in the center of the cake batter before placing in the microwave, shown in the picture below.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
    Cheers!

Adding the marshmallow does not make it vegan…

Unless it is a vegan marshmallow! 🙂 They do exist, I have a bag in my pantry right now, and I can't wait to try this (also with vegan chocolate chips instead of the Hershey's)
