Slow Cooker Buffalo-Ranch Chicken Sandwiches
- 2 pounds, boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 12 oz bottle Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wings Sauce
- 1 oz packet Hidden Valley Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix
- Rolls
- Optional toppings – cheddar cheese, blue cheese crumbles, ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, lettuce – anything else you like.
Lightly spray slow cooker/crock pot with non-stick cooking spray. Place chicken breasts in a single layer. Sprinkle chicken breast evenly with ranch dressing, flipping chicken and coating both sides. Next, pour Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Wing Sauce over chicken. Cook on high for 4 to 5 hours or on low for 6 to 8 hours – cooking times vary, be sure to adjust your cooking time for your crock pot so you do not over cook. When ready, shred chicken right in the crock pot with the sauce using two forks. Serve on fresh baked sandwich rolls topped with your favorite toppings – blue cheese crumbles, cheddar cheese, blue cheese dressing , ranch dressing, lettuce, celery. Enjoy!
TIPS
After reading comments on social media, people who have made this before and like it with less heat/milder, add butter to the recipe. Others have added cream cheese. You can also reduce the amount of Frank’s Buffalo sauce. We top ours with ranch and/or blue cheese dressing, which for my family, makes it perfect.
Thanks for stopping by!
Cheers!

What would you say the serving size of 2lb shredded chicken would be? I plan to make this for a preg we are hosting and not sure how much I should double or triple.

Think I can use a bottle of Cholula?

It was so spicy. I definitely recommend using much less than the entire bottle of Frank's Red Hot.
Kathy
Make sure you are using “wing sauce” not the original red hot sauce. Makes a big difference.

If I wanted to make this a creamy version, could I add cream cheese to the crock pot while it's cooking or should I wait untill the end to add it?
Anonymous
You can add it while it's cooking. When I made crack chicken, it calls for cream cheese to be added while cooking and it turned out great!

Sent this off to my son's college apartment frozen and ready for him to throw in a crock pot. The guys loved it! Came back home and asked if I could send it again.

Wow! This is a great sandwich made from fantastic ingredients. I want to try this recipe and add more cheese and lettuce.
Exciting 😀

We made these into wraps instead of sandwiches, and they turned out great! Chicken came out perfect, we loved the ranch seasoning. The sauce was a bit too hot for me but once we added condiments (ranch, lettuce, shredded cheese), they were just fine. Would love to make this again, thanks for sharing the recipe!

This looks delicious! We love using Frank's but have never added the ranch. Will definitely be trying this soon.

Hi, I use Frank's red hot sauce for my wings. Everybody that has tried them loves them. I pour a bottle into a small sauce pan and heat it up, once it's os heated I add by spoon fulls brown sugar, I keep adding the brown sugar until it is to the taste that I like. As my wings ,cooked "naked" (no batter, no seasonings), drain of excess oil, I dip them in the sauce. This gives them a somewhat sweet taste with an explosion of heat. My brother asked me to try this recipe with my 'special' sauce. It turned out great
